RTMP Backup Stream or Failover Router

Hello, I am running multiple events each week using Vmix to stream to both Teams Towhalls and Vimeo simultaneously.

Recently we have having some pretty major issues with the hardwired internet on site, potentially causing a pretty bad failure. Luckily we haven't experienced failure during shows.... yet.

We have been speaking with the IT team and have been able to secure a 5g sim card to use as a backup network. This is where we are currently unable to decide on our best course of action. As far as I can see we have two options.

  1. Buy a failover router and put both the hardwired ethernet and 5g sim card into that

or

  1. Use the RTMP backup keys for on the 5G Sim card.

The problem I am predicting with the option 1 (failover router) is that the delay between the failure and then reconnecting to the RTMP destinations might be quite large. From what I've been reading online it can

With option 2 (RMPT Backup) I don't know if Vmix has the capability to run 4 streams over 2 networks
- Teams and Vimeo RTMP over hardwired ethernet

- Teams and Vimeo Backup RTMP over 5G network

TL;DR:

Need advice if running a single stream with failover router is better than having a backup RTMP key on a 5G network.

Few notes:

- It seems like Microsoft hasn't fully rolled out Teams RTMP backup yet... but they are saying it should be completed by next month.

- Due to cost/policy we can't things like bonded cellular
