Paid about 150 CAD for this because I really liked the look. Wondering what collection this is even from and how much it’s actually worth (I would like to know it’s worth in case I do resell later, not 100% sure about the fit)

WaterlooWorks is More Cooked Than Ever Before

This is a common sentiment but I don't even know where to start complaining about this to make a change. Fall 2026 seems to be so much worse than Winter 2026. We pay nearly 1k in fees each co-op term for a Cycle 1 consisting of jobs that are much more suitable for 1st or 2nd co-ops, with nearly zero utility for people in their 4th co-op term onwards (I'd even argue like 50% are fallback-level jobs for 2nd co-op).

I'm not trying to hate on people working these jobs but a large portion of the UWaterloo community does not have usage for WaterlooWorks anymore. We shouldn't be okay with the school just giving us shit quality. I get the solution is apply outside of WaterlooWorks, but I have two problems with us being okay with that:

  1. We still pay the fees. And no, nothing else CEE does for us is worth more than 5 bucks. I don't care if we have a shitload of co-op advisors that need to paid, they aren't used much by students and I'm pretty sure we've overhired if they have time to do a mandatory video check-in per first co-op student (not sure if that's still a thing).
  2. I don't like that UWaterloo students work hard and the uni just rides off of that and gets more applicants without fostering that in the school. They need to actually contribute ffs, and that means working their asses off, no matter how hard, to give us the job board we once had. Why? Because we pay them a shitload of fees every year.

And yes I know other school's have it rougher with their job boards, but I can't change anything there.
