This is kind of a vent but I also need advice.
Last year I took a 3 month course in dog grooming, and the way to get your official certification was 2 final tests, one small show breed cut and one medium show breed cut. I passed my first test but failed the second for a multitude of reasons (matted and misbehaving dog, right handed instead of left handed tools, I'm disabled, etc). Because of that I didn't pass and wasn't certified, I also wasn't given a second chance as the course only gave one try.
Because I'm not certified I've now been let go from 2 different jobs and I have no idea what to do. I'm Canadian so the only other options I have are registering with CPPS and taking 6 exams, or paying up to $10k just to take another course. I'm heartbroken and just so discouraged because this is something I'm very passionate about, but I'm starting to think it's just not for me.
