It makes me feel a little dumb but it really took seeing Gladys in a short clip on Instagram telling the principal that Alex's parents are ill with consumption, at first it seems just like she's old and talking about tuberculosis, but it also works on another level that she was trying to heal herself by consuming their life force like the kids in the basement. Hopefully it didn't hit some other people too 😅
