Summary: Harry and Hermione are adults and together, raising their young son James. They visit the Burrow to spend time with the Weasleys while James stays home sick with a disease being taken care of by their house-elf, Sparky, whom Harry and Hermione rescued from an extremely abusive wizarding family. In the end, it's revealed Sparky killed James and cannibalized him.

It was a bit too edgy for my taste but I loved the calm before the storm, I know the fanfic from start to end but I can't find a link to it
