Got a Bleep eclipse
Hello everybody! I got a bleep eclipse mask a few days ago. Thought id share some thoughts and ask for advice/opinions. Everybody seems to love it but i havent had the best experience so far.
There's certain aspects i like about it. Having no head mask is freeing. Its really nice. With the hose hung over my head its also nice and very light. Can move around pretty freely. No real leakage from nose. Quiet (compared to thr mask I'm coming from F&P solo nasal cushion).
That being said a huge negative for me is the magnets really seem to squish to the bottom center of my nose (the columella - i googled the name lol). Today my columella is sore and red and spotty. My ahi numbers have increased (only 2 nights of use so still adjusting). The halos were also a bit tricky to put on. Def need some trimming and care placing them. And the halos feel weird and hard to place with a moustache.
Day 1 and day 2 Results:
Day 1: kept the pressure the same. Ahi 2.9 which is on my higher side. Large mouth leaks - about 2 hours. Dry mouth and throat. Sucked. Had a small piece of mouth tape on center vertically to reduce mouth breathing.
Day 2: reduced pressure a bit, hit 5.1 ahi lol which is higher than my normal higher side 3 to 4 ahi. I thought maybe being leakless, that now the pressure was forcing my mouth open a bit more. Not much leakage this night though. Managed to keep my mouth shut mostly. Taped more of my mouth this time. Horizontally on center about 80-90% of my mouth.
Day 3: tonight, might not use it because my nose is sore. Or might with normal pressure settings and mouth tape. Haven't decided yet.
Anybody else have any experience with the bleep eclipse? Or advice? Im thinking of putting a folded/rolled piece of cardboard under my Columella to keep the magnets from squeezing it.
