Rereading the manga rn and I was already expecting to notice this a lot from Kaneki ever since I saw Hide point it out on my first read, but I certainly did NOT expect it from his mother!

I guess it's safe to say he picked it up from her, though I'm not sure if this is an obvious thing to the community that I'm pointing out lol
