I will be retiring at the end of this year and have already seen a couple financial advisors who want to charge me between one and 1.25% per year to manage my money. I know this adds up to hundreds of thousands of dollars overtime and I’m looking for some good alternatives.

I’m going to be able to fire myself at the end of this year and enjoy a well earned retirement. Iwill be 55 years old. I’ve already talked to a financial advisor who wants to charge me 1.25% per year on my money. My bank wants to charge me one percent. I know this adds up overtime to be hundreds of thousands of dollars and I’m looking for an alternative.
