Got scammed by someone at Cameroon
I live in Canada. Basically, on July 2nd, I saw this advertisement on Craigslist. I emailed them, and they emailed me back and then told me to talk to someone on Whatsapp. It was a PS5, worth 500 Canadian dollars. I talked to them, they said to make an initial 200 dollar deposit for the receipt. I made that deposit today, then they asked for the rest 300 which I did as well. Later, I think he is ghosting or blocked me, Im unsure. I did find his instagram who goes by farhaan_blairs_ps5_pro_service. His phone number tracks him to NV, Las Vegas in US, and cannot be called. I am sure he is still on Whatsapp, but he may have blocked me as I told him repeatedly that I will call the cops if he does anything suspicious. I did not trust him at first but then I trusted him for some reason and gave him the rest 300. I just got paid today. I called my bank and they said the deposit is complete therefore I cannot reverse or cancel the e-transfer. I made a total of two e-transfer, first 200 then 300, totalling to 500. None of my parents know about this and I am hoping nobody does. Their account name that the e-transfer was made to is farhaanblair100@gmail.com. I never bought something like this before so being my first time, I fell for the scam. Their account in Instagram traces all the way to Cameroon. Thanks for understanding. I will put down the scammers credentials so you guys can help me figure the culprit. Please help me deliver justice, and I really need my 500 Canadian Dollars, in Cameroon they convert to 202000 Central African CFA franc. Right now I cannot pay my bills and might get evicted if I cannot get my money back in time. Any help at all would be kindful. Thank you guys!
