What is this?
I’m obviously freaking out. My dog is a four year-old Yorkie bichon and poodle mix. She hasn’t had any health problems and she hasn’t shown any difference in behavior, appetite or energy. I noticed a small bump on her hind leg that was probably about as big as the eraser on a pencil, but half as tall. I didn’t think anything of it. I continued to monitor it she wasn’t itching scratching or acting like it hurt. I thought maybe it was just a cyst or clogged pour from me using coconut oil on her after a bath. The bump stayed that size for a few months however, this week I noticed the bump is significantly bigger. It’s about the size of a quarter now and maybe an inch thick. When I press on it, she doesn’t wince. She’s not any different appetite is the same energy is the same. I also noticed she has another bump closer to her front leg. That’s about the same size as the larger bump was when I first noticed it. Her mom and dad are both close to 10 years old and don’t have any health problems. I’m very scared. This may be cancer. The bump is not growing any hair over it and the skin on it is flaking. She already has an appointment with the vet in a few days. Can someone please tell me if you’ve seen this before and what it could be?
