Childcare (children getting sick)
It's been 2/3 weeks since my son has gone to childcare.
Since then he has been sick 3 different times, he got a virus (intestinal), ear infection, and a cough... the momey we saved from free chilcare we ended up spending them on medication.
Our son is 8 months old and has been sick only once before. I do understand the fact that their imune system still being built, but then i bring into question how much is a childcare really sanitised considering they handke multiple children.
We ended up literally changing jobs so we can accomodate our household being a one parent income and the mother can attend to the child.
It's not the first time hearing this and people do speak between themselves that "if you take your son to childcare, prepare yourself for the constant sickness".
What are your thoughts about this?
Are we really getting free child care if our babies end up getting sick all the time?
Did you or know someone who experienced something like I did?
