Retirement flats = terrible investment??
I am trying to bring my 75 yr old parents over from Wales to live near me in the south east. All they can afford round here is a retirement flat - partly because these flats (built circa 2000) have depreciated a lot in the last 3-4 years. I don’t mind about losing money as the decision is about my parents‘ quality of life but I’m not rich and so I’m worried about re selling in the future bc you have to continue to pay service charge etc even if empty. Will these flats bounce back a bit??
EDIT: Thanks so much for all the comments and advice!! I've never really used Reddit before, this has been so helpful 😄
