Hoffa’s fat pad surgery at 20 in 2 days

Hello, I’ve never posted on reddit before and I’m really desperate for answers. I have my surgery in 2 days and i’m thinking of not going through with it. My knee has been hurting for the past year and I only recently decided to get it checked and went to get an MRI which said I had Hoffitis. My doctor scheduled me for surgery right away with no physiotherapy or no efforts to help it in any other way. Is this normal? My career is in law enforcement and I need to be able to run and do regular strength training and exercise normally. I need any answers or advice, any second opinions please. Thank you to anyone who answers in advance.
