Hi! I’m currently a Cognitive Science bachelor student (4th semester) and I also already have a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Romania.

My goal is to do a Master’s in Psychology (cand.psych.) in Denmark after finishing my degree, and I’m planning to learn Danish to meet the language requirements.

From what I understand, admission can happen either through legal claim or through quota 2 (for applicants without a Danish BA in psychology). I would be applying through quota 2.

My questions:

  • Has anyone actually been admitted to psychology through quota 2 at universities like Aarhus University, University of Copenhagen, or Aalborg University?
  • Do they realistically accept external applicants with a psychology background from another EU country?
  • How strict is the ECTS matching (e.g. clinical, developmental, etc.)?
  • How many students are admitted each year, and are any of them from quota 2?

I’m trying to figure out if this path is realistic or if I should plan for a master’s in another country instead. I will not continue a master in Cognitive Science anyway.

Any experiences or insights would be really helpful.
