
complaints closed under Clause 14(9)
The Ombudsman Order: I just received the closure notice. The RBI has closed my complaint under Clause 14(9)(a) (which states the complaint is deemed resolved when it has been settled by the Regulated Entity).
The Catch: The wording in the RBI notice is contradictory. It says the bank "confirmed that payment as per the instant guidelines would be provided within 7 working days." But the concluding paragraph states that the Ombudsman concluded "the bank had compensated the complainant and hence the compliant is treated as closed." I have not received a single rupee yet. should i wait for 7 days or how this works?
