Browsing made in china opened my eyes to how many product ideas we never see locally

A few months ago I used to think most winning products were just smart branding until I started randomly browsing suppliers on made in china out of curiosity.

What surprised me wasn’t even the products themselves. It was seeing how fast the same idea gets copied, slightly modified, repackaged, and pushed into different markets almost at the same time.

You’ll see one product in 10 different versions within minutes and suddenly realize how hard it actually is for brands to stay unique long term.

It honestly changed the way I look at product research. Now when I see a trending product online, my first thought is how long before everyone else is selling the same thing?

For people here who sell physical products what actually makes a product stand out to you nowadays? Is it branding, community, design or something else?
