Hi! We (husband and I) are new to Princess and cruises in general, and are sailing with my husband's parents, who are seasoned cruisers and have been on Alaskan cruises a few times. We are booked on the Star Princess from Seattle to Alaska the last week of August and have the Plus package.
My husband LOVES to find hacks for things, and has thoroughly researched things that might make our stay more unique. So far, he has gathered
Binoculars, magnetic hooks, lens cleaners for glasses and phones, wristbands for medallions, pop-up mesh hampers, toilet sprays, packing cubes, plastic luggage tag sleeves, bonine (for sea sickness), non-surge protector power strips, desk fan, rechargeable magnetic motion light sensors, and an over the door clear shoe rack to hang on the bathroom door for toiletries...
Are we missing anything? Is this overkill?
Also, we have plans for Ketchikan (have family there) but that's about it. Looking at possible whale watching options, train options, etc. My father-in-law has limited mobility, so trying to do things everyone in our party can do. Any suggestions on what activities to book at the other ports?
Also, we love good food! We figure we'll probably end up at the sushi place for casual dining. Any recommendations for good food at ports?
Thanks!
