So while I was out of the country in late April the basement I was living in flooded with sewage. I happened to be moving in late May so after they got it all cleaned I packed up boxes but didn’t think about the fact that they’d be sitting in the smell (which lingered for weeks). Now that I am in my new apartment my stuff STINKS and I’m so upset. I’ve washed literally every piece of clothing I own but some of the other stuff (like toiletries, furniture, books, craft supplies) all smell too and I don’t know what to do. I really don’t want to just toss everything…any suggestions? I’ve tried to put baking soda in a lot of stuff but am wondering if there’s a better approach.
