Which trade?

I’ve currently been working in law enforcement for the past 5 years, I’m 31 years old, and I am completely burned out and have lost passion for the career. So I’ve decided to pivot and explore different career paths. I’ve narrowed it down to two different options after a lot of contemplation, exploration, and networking. The first opportunity I have the is to work as soffit/siding/fascia/metal roofing installer; the ability to move up with this company and or start my own is very promising and a pretty quick timeline due to previous experience in this field of work and previously working for this owner. The second opportunity is to start an apprenticeship as a maritime mechanic (mainly freshwater boats). I live in UT, but where I’m at the boating community is pretty popular and has a decent amount of lakes in the area. There is no schooling in UT for maritime mechanics so the only way to get training and experience is through a paid apprenticeship with one of the 3 businesses in my area (within a 100 mile radius at least). I was able to get in touch with one of the owners who runs a boat shop close to my home. It just happened to be right timing that he lost a technician and would be willing to hire me as a paid apprentice with expectations of becoming fully trained and a reliable mechanic with his company. I’m torn between which one to commit to. I’ve always had an interest and love for boats but I don’t have much mechanical experience; so that intimidates me a little bit. The other job I worked as a helper years ago and have more familiarity with that trade. If you were in my shoes which direction would you pursue/consider? I have to make a decision within the next month or so. And I already know there will be people who say go electrician or another trade but these are the two I’ve narrowed it down to that actually have my interest.
