Bandbudh aur budbak is BACK!

In the most UNEXPECTED WAY!!!!

I finished reading this insane Bandbudh Aur Budbak fanfic and I am typing this while literally SHAKING😭😭😭... I thought it was just going to be some edgy parody of the cartoon like grrr we're bad now, and that new oc becoming the Indian marynsue but NO! NO! MY MIND IS BLOWN. It starts like a usual episode then it completely diverges into this high-stakes, psychological dystopia that acts as a giant mirror to the crushing pressure, future anxiety and all the things our generation is dealing with right now in India.

I took screenshots because the writing is VERY ELITE. Look how the author handles Badrinath facing down the main villain of the arc a literal AI villain inspired from Kanya character in the show and is dictating the world:

So the context is there are 2 versions of the characters: one the cartoon versions trapped by Yuvati and the older, realistic versions navigating their dystopian town trying to save their cartoon versions, these lines gave me goosebumps, completely makes sense when our world is drowning in ai slop and destroying human creativity.

What makes this fanfic work so well is that it doesn’t lose the heart of the show. The humor is still there, just evolved for a young adult audience. It uses this amazing blend of classic banter mixed with modern existential dread. The cartoon badri budh though stay as canon as possible:

Older versions cracking jokes throughout the fanfic: *direct seethe maut reference how bizarre could this get*

Yeah a direct reference from the show. The satire is not only about the damages of ai but there's another villain who's a politician actively DESTROYING their lives, and badri budh claps back in the best way possible! Now the whole thing about satire felt a very amazing conceptfor a kids show, but what made me so obsessed about this fanfic is the character arc of Gyan.

this is the younger/cartoon gyans reaction after he comes to know what happens to his future self:

Do I even need to explain this one?

This definitely is a direct reference to jeeva explains the joke subreddit caught me offguard so bad💀💀💀💀

This author is completely changing the game... PLEASE tell me I'm not the only one crying over a cartoon remake, a sew through time needs to be popular and so does smoothlime25. I will remember this fanfic forever... absolutely SICK of seeing the algorithm bury this masterpiece, actual high-effort, brilliant Indian writers and creators while generic stuff blows up. Everyone wants to see new things in Indian media but somehow they return to the overrated, plotless, ai generated works that blow up and writers like this author get no hype at all. Can't we do anything to make transformative works with so much effort like this one become successful?
