Hello, I live in NC and I have been trying to get a job in LE since last year. I applied to a sheriff’s office last year. I took the popat, oral interview, poly but was denied after my psych evaluation. I was told that in comparing my skills and experience with other candidates, others were better to meet their requirements. In March, I started BLET at my local college and after six weeks, I dropped the course because of a personal situation. I just applied to another agency and looking for advice as the process starts. I really want a career in LE because l like investigating to help solve problems and interviewing and interacting with the public.
