Currently making a 5 gallon jug of mead
Current Recipe includes
6 apples
6 peaches
5 bags(4 in each) of like 3 inch long cinnamon sticks
10grams of Fleischmanns Active Dry Yeast
15lbs of Pure ‘n simple honey
Currently have all the fruit n cinnamon sticks sitting at water set to 140f , going to put the honey in, going to pour the hot water in, mash the fruits and put the fruits in, then fill with cold water to top, and mix everything up then put the yeast in and mix
Edited to ask: my hydrometer comes in May 9th and we’re adding the yeast and everything tonight. What’s my best course of action to test when I should add nutrients and get a good reading of ABV%
