Need recommendation for painting edges of thin plywood. Perhaps a teeny tiny paint roller? But where do I get one?

I make maple leaves out of 1/8 inch plywood. They turn out really nice, but in order to display them outside, I have to seal the edges of the plywood so that moisture doesn't get in. The problem is that painting the edges of the plywood takes an inordinate amount of time (probably an hour per leaf as I do three coats of paint).

So far I have been doing it with a small paint brush, and as you can imagine it's quite tedious. I want to use a roller instead, but the smallest rollers I can find out there are still too big to fit into the small gaps between each lobe of the leaf. I basically need something thinner than a dime (see picture).

Does anyone have a recommendation for an easier way to paint these edges? Have you been able to find a small roller online that I can buy, or do you have any ideas for something that I can make myself to serve the same purpose?

Any brainstorming would be helpful!
