First time foster with coccidia
So, i signed up to be a foster but I specifically said I don’t want anything that could spread infection or disease or anything to my resident cats. I got a message about two kittens who are ”healthy” but underweight and need a place to go. I took them home and quarantined them out of preventative measures (thank goodness) and then I get an email saying they discovered these kittens have Coccidia. This is my first time fostering and I have 4 resident cats, I didn’t let them mingle but they did shoe them when I first brought them in (I held the kittens and just showed them that we had kittens) i’ve been bleaching and steam cleaning the bathroom with the kittens, how much do I need to worry about my resident cats getting it, I am so intense about washing my hands between leaving the kitten bathroom and going through my house. i steam mopped my house too incase anything is transmittable through my shoes or clothes but i’ve been actively trying to avoid any cross contamination is there anything else I can do to protect my cats?
