I'll be joining VIT C this year as a btech biotech student , however the hostel costs are way too high 1.8 L for the cheapest option etc

I was wondering whether there are good (clean , reasonable pricing) PGs around campus and if they cost less than the hostels. I'm okay with sharing with 3-4 other girls.

How common is it for first years to stay in PGS? What does daily travel to campus look like? Do you know any common Girls PGs or anyone else looking for a roommate? Are meals included? Do day scholars get lonely? Or is it common being a day scholar since the hostel prices are through the roof. Is the area outside campus safe for girls? How much are the prices for pgs?
