Does Anybody remember Deer Squad when it came out? And did anybody actually enjoy it?
Lately there’s been videos going around of Paw Patrol dominating Nickelodeon and Nick Jr. with an iron first (which is true), and they’ve been talking about shows that have been purged because of Nickelodeon’s vigorous loyalty to Paw Patrol. The Tiny Chef was the most controversial, and even Blues Clues & You! and the Dora reboot, which stem from the previous cash cows were cancelled for Paw Patrol.
But one show in particular stands out because of how forgotten it is, especially in America. It’s the Deer Squad which too also got axed for Paw Patrol. It’s honestly a criminally underrated show in my opinion and it’s actually still in production outside of the U.S. (it’s a Chinese co-production.) and I’ve been trying to spread awareness of this show’s existence, was anybody a fan of the show when it came out? I know it’s been accused of being a rip off of Paw Patrol but let’s face it, beyond the similar premise of saving the day and protecting people from a villain, Deer Squad and Paw Patrol couldn’t be anything different. And I have MANY MANY reasons why I prefer it over Paw Patrol.
I’d love to have a healthy discussion about this show, if I sound pretentious, I apologize. I just wanna spread awareness that this show still exists and because of the executive meddling on Nickelodeon bowing down to Paw Patrol, the show never had much of a fanbase.
