I'm thinking of going to a powwow in my area soonish and i'm wondering a few things.

Most stuff i've read has said that powwows are like gatherings of nations and that non-Indigenous folks (though i technically am Indigenous but like not to Turtle Island ^^") are allowed to come. I'm just wondering if it'd be fine if i wore some of my own cultural wear, like a tarboush. Would that be too imposing on the focus of the event? Should i wear something orange?

I often ask a lot of questions, i live on Coast Salish Territory and i'm unsure if the tradition of offering tobacco is followed here. Would it make sense to try and prepare some?

Is there anything else i should know? I've done my best to do my research i just want to know if there's anything i may be missing.
