This might seem a little out there, but I‘m Khanti (Indigenous Siberian) and one of our major beliefs is reincarnation. I have a previous incarnation in which I had a close friend who was Aboriginal. She grew up very isolated and didn’t know much about her culture or heritage. We were both 11 when we met. I actually thought I was white at the time due to knowledge of my own culture and heritage being lost as well, but I was Siberian in that life, too.
She lived with her grandfather on a small island off the northeastern coast. She was incredibly intelligent as well. I made a lot of mistakes with her and I wasn’t nearly as good of a friend as I could’ve been.
