I just finished NG, last time I played DS3 was like 5 years ago. Was back at Firelink cleaning up my inventory of junk before NG+ and decided to figure out what some of my unused inventory was for. Undead bone shards. I figured they'd either level up the area's enemies, or give me bonus estus uses, based on other souls games I've played more recently. FFS, so that was the boost to make a swig of Estus heal more HP. I was getting frustrated trying to drink like 5 Estus to recover after hits from Champion Gundyr, Nameless King, and the Cinder Lord. :D
