Hi! I had jaw surgery and braces recently. The braces came off about a month back.
At one point in the post-surgery period, I had some very tight elastics and some pretty aggressive recession around my canine, in the photo there.
My dentist (not my orthodontist) happens to specialise in gum surgery. He's suggested I get a gum graft for two teeth, using my own tissue, for the canine and the one next to it.
What do you reckon? Necessary?
On another note, my dentist seemed pretty not-concerned about my recent jaw surgery, and how I'm stille experiencing dry mouth from that. Any implications from taking tissue from the roof of my mouth given I'm still recovering from double jaw surgery?
