Common mistake that makes back pain worse (seen in many patients)

I’m a spine specialist and one thing I see often is people resting too much when they get back pain. Complete bed rest can actually slow recovery.

In many cases gentle movement, posture correction, and core strengthening help more than staying in bed for days.

If pain lasts more than 2–3 weeks, or there is leg pain, numbness, or weakness, it’s worth getting a spine evaluation.

Happy to answer general questions about back pain, sciatica, posture, or slipped discs.
