My boyfriend and I are going to be traveling from County Mayo to county Donegal in May. We planned on doing 3 nights in county Donegal. We booked a place in Donegal town to stay for all 3 nights but now I’m rethinking and potentially wanting to book a place more north to see the northern parts of Donegal. Do you think it’s more worth it to book a centrally located accommodation so that we can explore more of the county or would it be a hassle to take day trips all the way north and back to donegal town each day? What town should we stay in? Dunfanaghy?
