Credentials step 1 Passed/step 2 ck 250
6 months USCE (Jan-Jun 2025),
Abstracts plus posters= 16
Publications in pubmed= 9
A month ago I received an invite for a short term scholar position in Texas for 6 months but my US visa was not granted under 214 b and the VO said your letter has insufficient information pointing to the DS 2019

Two reasons I have (fairly influenced by the opinions of several seniors from my med school)

1. 250 is no longer a good score to even get you to IM
2. I fear my J1 clinician visa will be rejected as well

I understand that Reddit is not the best place to obtain advice for this
But at this point any validation or advice is better and appreciated rather than my overthinking
