Zoot P1X tore first wear and Zoot not honoring their warranty

Bought two P1X tri suits over Christmas. Had to exchange one for a different size.
I just used one of the suits for the first time on an indoor trainer ride and a seam on the sleeve tore 🤨.
I reached out on instagram to Zoot who told me to file a claim online which I did.
As I’d also been talking to an associate awhile back when I switched sizes I emailed him with the photos. He called back the other day.
The conversation was weird. I explained what occurred and he stated I probably rubbed against something or was wearing a jacket that caused the tear. I said I was on my indoor trainer.
He then said well you could have snagged something while riding or fallen - uh I’m on a trainer.
He said the suits are fragile and he tore one when he was wearing a flask or belt number holder from the bouncing while running- not what happened here.
I again said I put the suit on and was riding on my trainer and the sleeve tore.
He said take it to a seamstress they can repair it 🤔🙄😔 really you have a two year warranty on manufacturing defects and that’s all you can say - rather sad in a pathetic way considering the suit is 500$.
Anyone else have any experience or issues with Zoot?

UPDATE: I pulled Zoot's own warranty policy from their website. It states products are covered against material defects and workmanship issues for two years. The exclusions listed are: accidents, improper care, negligence, normal wear and tear, and chlorine deterioration. A seam failure on the first wear on an indoor trainer meets none of those exclusions. Their own policy requires them to repair or replace manufacturing defects. They refused to do either.
