Hey guys, I bought the bike almost a year ago with aftermarket mirrors.Its a 2011 XL1200C with 4.5 gallon tank. I didn’t like mirrors, so I replaced them with Chinese aftermarket mirrors that look like the original long stems.
The problem is when I flip the mirrors, they hit the tank at full lock, no matter what i do. I tried a few extensions but didn’t like the look. I have seen youtube videos where people flipped the long stem mirrors with no issues, so I’m thinking these aftermarket ones may not match the exact OEM measurements.
Should I order the original long stem mirrors? Any experiences?
