Hello all. Just wanted to raise an issue with yous as I don’t really know where else to post about this. There is a “homeless” man that sits everyday with a speaker and a dog on Waverley bridge. I say “homeless” because he is not homeless, he has an entire flat in Gorgie (my manager at work lives close to him). He also works night shift at Lothian Buses.
Please do not give this man any money. My work has a zero dogs policy but we usually let him in to get water for the dog, that stopped after he threatened one of my coworkers with the dog. I actually overheard him on the phone with his girlfriend, when she asked him why he’s been out for so long, he replied “you try and sit out in the sun all day”. Absolute joke. Fair enough if he was actually homeless but he’s not. Please, DO NOT give this man ANY money.
(Edit, for all those commenting about his job: he works as a cleaner, cleaning buses 1-2 times a week)
