Hi all, I'm seeing this thread (full disclosure - I work in the optics manufacturing field) and wanted to let you know that many optical coating places do in fact offer strip and recoating services for telescope mirrors!

Here are a few places that I'm aware of in the US. Many don't advertise this capability, so ask for a quote and give them as much information about your mirror as you can.
