He put me in check and I took with my rook and this guy thought he lost a queen for nothing and didn’t see his bishop lol

How does elo work? I consistently get 600-1000 elo games in my game reviews but I only get 8 elo every time why is it so slow?

My theory is that I would win a knight and a bishop if they attacked my queen but I’m not sure what makes moving my queen a mistake. I’m only 400 elo so I’m probably missing something here
