Question about knowing when to pursue surgery.

I have been experiencing symptoms for at least a few years now. Only within the past few months have I taken the effort to make lifestyle changes to alleviate the symptoms. A CRS I visited about a month ago had given me fiber pills to take and said to check back in after a month if I were still experiencing issues.

I seem to have had some progress. I'm pretty sure I've stopped bleeding after BMs. But I can still feel the hemorrhoid(s) there, regardless, through pressure and through touch. I am wondering if it is normal for people to still seek the surgical route in cases like these.

Seeing that I have had this issue for multiple years, I'm assuming they've healed pretty much all they can via lifestyle changes. But also, from reading posts on this forum, it seems like people wait until they are in higher levels of pain until they take the surgical route. Understandable, as I have read and heard of how uncomfortable and painful the recovery process is from the surgery.

Just wondering if there are people who have undergone the hemorrhoidectomy at similar stage as what I described. I don't really want to schedule another Dr. appointment if I'm just going to be told the same thing about lifestyle habits, but I also would like to take care of the issue further, if possible.

Anyone watch Erupcja yet? I’m debating whether to catch a showing at the theater. I probably only heard about this because of Charli XCX, but looks like it could be a decent slice of life indie film. At the same time, the trailer hasn’t made me felt too compelled to check it out based on the alleged plot. Curious to hear anyone’s thoughts or reactions. Thanks!
