Gangsta Wraps Slacks Creek

My experience with Gangsta Wraps Enterprise Pty Ltd

I’m posting this because I wish there had been something like this online before I dealt with them.

I had a bad experience with Gangsta Wraps Enterprise Pty Ltd. This is the business run by what looks like a walking STD, Chaye Connelly. I’m not writing this to start drama, but to give other people a heads-up, because there doesn’t seem to be anywhere reliable to check real customer reviews. There are no obvious Google reviews or independent review pages that I could find, so from the outside you’re mostly relying on their own social media.

In my case, things reached the point where I lodged a complaint with the Office of Fair Trading.

OFT contacted the trader on my behalf and tried to negotiate a remedy. The response I received from OFT said that Gangsta Wraps Enterprise Pty Ltd failed to respond to repeated attempts by email and phone. OFT also explained that they cannot force a trader to participate in conciliation, and they cannot force a refund, repair, replacement, compensation, or preferred remedy.

So basically, because the business did not engage with the process, OFT could not assist any further. I was told my remaining option was to pursue the matter through QCAT or other legal channels.

After that, I was blocked completely.

The worst part is that my car has now been left damaged because of the limited work that was carried out. From my position, it is beyond repair in any practical sense, and I’m now left dealing with the consequences.

That is the part I want other people to understand. Once something goes wrong, you may not have many easy options. If there are no public reviews, no proper review trail, and the business stops responding, you can be left chasing the matter through formal channels yourself while still being stuck with the damage.

My advice to anyone looking at wraps, signage, decals, tinting, or similar work:

  • do not rely on social media photos alone
  • get the full scope of work in writing
  • confirm exactly what materials are being used
  • confirm timeframes before paying
  • keep screenshots of every message
  • keep proof of every payment
  • be careful paying large amounts upfront
  • check whether there are independent reviews before committing
  • walk away early if communication becomes vague or inconsistent

I’m not telling anyone what to do. I’m just sharing what happened in my case so someone else can make a more informed decision before handing money over.

Hopefully this helps someone avoid the same headache.
