Everyone wants to put the blame on corporations for why we are poor but we aren't blaming it equally on other factors of it.
Hospitals. They hire foreign/international workers for cheaper labor because they don't want to pay good wages for new workers. Plus hospitals, insurance companies, and drug companies are all equally responsible for the cost of things and yet people here just blame the insurance company.
Education. Immigrants who bring kids in the US need more resources to help them catch up to their current grade level which will hurt students who need those resources. Plus we have a bloat system how is bringing in more people going to solve the issue? Like teachers already complain about kids so how is adding more to the equation. Then we have colleges allowing foreign students which makes it harder for Americans to go to college because spots were filled by them. States that also paid their teachers the most still showing lower than average students performance. Virginia is the top of teachers pay but math rankings being the bottom. Same thing happening in California, Washington, Maryland and Alaska. So pay ain't the issue its the parents not parenting.
Family structure: its been reported that children in single parent household are 4x more likely to live in poverty than those in married-couples. Then fatherless children are more likely to end up in jail than those with a father figure in their life.
Companies. We lost high-quality manufacturing across the country that left hundreds if not thousands of communities out of jobs that they needed. Yet we continue to make things easier for other countries to import their goods. Free trade for example it causes job displacements, economic inequality, environmental and labor standards to decline, and loss of sovereignty. All that just for lower cost and more choice, economic growth, lower inflation. There is a lot more i could go into this but it would take forever.
