Hi! I’m third trimester and just wondering if anyone has any birth experiences in Cumbria?

I'm hoping to go the birth centre at Penrith but aware most people end up at Carlisle. I really don’t want to end up at Carlisle for a few reasons, I’ve had crap experiences with the obs department with fairly dubious advice previously and I genuinely haven’t spoken to anyone who’s birthed there in the last 2 years who’s had positive experience. I had got myself into the mindset that I would have a positive birth where ever but at a scan recently got lectured by the sonographer about how I should go to Carlisle and lots of fear mongering which was outside of NICE guidelines etc. That had kinda set me dead against Carlisle again.
