Dark techno with changes

I'm looking for recommendations for a minimalistic, darker techno, a little bit acidy, a little bit Berlin, but with regular changes to the beat, like every 8 or 16 bars there's a little fill and the hihats change. This feels sort of oldschool to me, with a complex and active arrangement, not 6 mins of exactly the same thing, or slowly morphing eurorack. I haven't quite found what i want. A kick, a moody bassline, and little bits of percussion that keep changing. keeping it simple and moving forward.

Two moogs too much?

I have a subsequent37 and I love it. The most important things for me are the rich, qualitY sound, and very wide sweet spot. I find it very inspiring, every knob tweak sounds great and gives me ideas for where to go next. I love jamming around and live dawless improv, mostly in a dub, melodic, berlin, or acidy techno styles. Mostly simple basslines, or arps, with a bit of a beat.

i 'm also gassing very badly for a Matriarch. Reviews are suggesting that it's also inspirational and sounds amazing, and invites all sorts of experiments.

my worry is that it overlaps sonically with the sub37, and i might get too much of that rich moog sound. Any suggestions? The other synths i've been eying are an ob-6, teo-5, possiply even a Peak, but i think maybe the programming on that to get to the really good sounds might be a bit of a creativity killer. Synthrx ii ? I don't want too crazy.

I just want one other quality piece, which is inspiring, full of happy accidents, improv-friendly and sounds great.

Mpltiple loops?

This strikes me as something the machine should do really easily, but i can't figure out a way.

i want to listen to live external audio, then hit a button to grab a loop, and then have only that loop playing. And here's the problem: i want to do this several times, so i can build layers.

i know how to use a thru track and a flex and a scene to fade, but this takes over my crossfader and i can't do any other scenes, and can only have the one loop.

i treid with pickup machines, and it's almost there, but i have to turn the input monitor up manually, then when the pickup goes into playback mode, i have to turn it down again and there's an overlap. But at least i can do it on multiple tracks, and if i did the loop capture in the cue to my headphones i could probably use this method.

is there anything else? It seems like it should be so simple to go from live to a loop, so why is it so bloody awkward and filled with unpleasent compromises?

i've even tried having multiple parts where the thru track gets swapped out for the flex track, with auto recording, but it becomes awkward: part 1, track 1 live and recording, traok 2 plnyback, then part 2: track 1 playback, track 2 plyback, part 3: track 1 playback track 2 live and recording. I'd have to use multiple banks to get more parts, this starts to feel like a horrible rabbithole
