Did any test takers (8/14) find the first part of FE Exam hard?

This was my second attempt in the exam. Did anyone find the first part of the exam hard? I remember some of the math, statics and surveying questions were insanely tough to get by cause they threw some curveballs which affected my time to finish all the questions properly. I had 12 questions remaining which I had to randomly select to get by. Was wondering if anyone felt the same or it’s just me

Are the online coach of chess.com helpful?

Hello everyone! I recently started getting into chess after not playing it for 10 years. After playing a couple games, I am currently at 500 Elo at rapid and 200 Elo at blitz which is way below average. I want to get better at the game, and would love to be coached maybe once or twice a week by a chess coach to improve my game. I noticed that chess.com has a lot of online coach available, but I’m not sure how that works or if they are of any help.

Has anyone here ever used the online coach from chess.com and found it helpful to improve their game? Or do guys think it’s useless and I’m better off just analyzing my own games and watching online chess educational videos?

Thanks and any feedback is appreciated.

Edit: Just want to clarify, I meant human coach not the AI coach provided by chess.comb through the subscription

How do you interact and make connections in a conference/event?

Hello Fellow Engineers! I am thinking about attending a bunch of transportation related events in my region to make bunch of connections and meet new people in my industry with the goal of building good relationships. Worst part is, I’m very introverted and not very good at carrying conversation, especially if the person I’m talking to is also introverted like me.

My question is, how do y’all make connections in your respective field conferences or seminars? What do y’all usually talk about? Is it mainly projects you’ve worked on or do you also talk about stuff that’s not related to your job as well?
