Canoe Trip to the Adirondacks

At Forked Lake in Upstate New York. 4-ish hour drive and then a 1/2-mile paddle. Reservation required. Check in July 2, check out July 5. The only amenities at the site were a fire pit with cooking grate and a latrine. Had to canoe to the campsite. I slept in the hammock. Spent most of the time fishing and relaxing.

6.1 Million Gallons of Untreated Wastewater Entered the Connecticut River from Massachusetts

And not for the first time, either. Is there anything Connecticut can do to force Massachusetts state or local (i.e. West Springfield/Springfield) to prevent this from happening? Why is the current infrastructure allowed to be so abysmal? And does this constitute a serious environmental hazard, or just a drop in the bucket?

Air National Guard Career Selection.

I am interested in speaking to a local recruiter, either for my state or a neighbouring one, about pursuing a 1A1X3 position. I understand that this is a highly sought after career and can be competitive with few openings, but it is one of the only handful of jobs I would be interested in. Understanding that, regardless, I would need to come up with a list of alternative jobs, what are the chances I could wait for a 1A1X3 position to open in either of the local airlift wings before signing and going to MEPS? While I am willing to wait a while, is there any chance a recruiter would be willing to work with me to get an open slot? The added difficulty is I am 30 and might need a medical waiver for a mild blood issue. I don’t want to waste a recruiter’s time, but I also don’t want to be in a position where I’m stuck with a career I absolutely do not want to do and end up getting dropped altogether. Best regards, and thanks in advance.
