Bondi library removes book How to Sell a Genocide from shelves after complaint
That's fucked up.

That's fucked up.
The bottom team beats the middling team that just beat top team? Please tell me how this can happen.
Fascinating. And something most of us intuitively know.

This is heartbreaking. This is the raw face of the political process - how do we as a polity spend the money we have, who do we spend it on? For those of you clutching your pearls over how much cgt you might be asked to pay, for those of you who work for big mining/energy trying to find tax minimisation loopholes so your company can offshore as much profit as it can, I hope you read this and feel deep, deep shame.
Hi sparkies. I have a cathedral ceiling house where all the heat (from reverse cycle a/c) congregates at the top (8m) and annoyingly it's cold down below where our kitchen/dining is. Next to the kitchen/dining is our lounge where we watch TV. The lounge has its own ceiling so is adjacent to but not underneath the cathedral. It is not separated by a door but rather extends the open plan. Previous owners used a gas heater to warm the lounge, but being conscious of our carbon footprint I want to install reversible fans up in the cathedral space to push the warm air down to where we need it. The quote for 2 x fans supplied and installed plus scissor lift came to $3600 - we live in Perth. I am comfortable about the price but because I am not entirely sure whether the fans will move the air down then across to the lounge, was wondering whether it might be smarter just to install a split a/c into the lounge. Interested to hear your thoughts.
