i don’t get nervous like this for very much in the world.

in the wake of the announcement about Jim’s hiring at Austin, I really thought about how the whole thing went down when he left here. As you may recall, Jay and Ernst had that press conference where they pretty much absolved themselves of any blame and threw Jim under the bus. This is kind of a theme with Jay, he just did the same exact thing with Bradley.

Now thinking back on the press conference with Ernst, at that point, Jay and the whole ownership team knew all about the now proven allegations against Tanner. In fact, based on things I have heard along the way they knew about as it was happening. Sort of a poorly kept secret around the team about how he was, in fact I wouldn’t even call it a secret at all. I don’t know anything and I’ve heard these kinds of whispers throughout his whole tenure.

So when you go to games, when you buy merchandise, when you buy food and drink at those prices, when you give Jay Sugarman and the rest of the ownership group your hard earned money, please keep in mind what kind of low quality human beings you are funding and endorsing.

Ernst still is not fired by the way.

Edit and correction: the initial investigation was in January 2025 Jim had already been fired for a few months. That’s factually relevant. However, I do standby -of course they knew, I’m an idiot who knows almost no one and I knew. I heard such things from a few different people over the years.

North side of Oregon Ave. This has been a fenced empty lot with nothing going on for a long time BUT now there is a lot of construction activity. Anyone know what is getting built?

I will be starting the BS in IT Management path in August. Transferring in about 45 gen ed credits and working in the industry a long time. Since I have a few months before I start I was thinking maybe I can put this time to good use. Anyone familiar with this program that can offer any tips? Anything I can preview to make it a little easier. That Statistics class looks daunting.

Really anything helpful or “ wish I knew before” type tips appreciated too
