It's the end of April, and my bees haven't flown out yet. I checked to make sure they're still there and alive: the wax particles on the bottom and the spring food with pollen have started to disappear. Is this normal? This was my first winter with bees. I have Warre hives with very thick (6cm) wooden walls, good ventilation, and sheep's wool insulation under the roof. Are they too comfortable there or what? It's true that it can still get cold at night here (Poland, Beskid Mountains, 700m above sea level), but during the day, it's been around 10-12 degrees for a long time now.

Have you ever wonder why all toothpaste for adults are mint? Well, sometimes they are named like melon or coconut, but when you start to use it - they have the same stinging and burning taste: mint is main ingredient. Is it really needed (I do not think so) or is it some mint conspiracy? I try to find real strawberry toothpaste not only for children. Why, on Earth, there is no one?
