Just got these beautiful testers as a gift! From Haitian Perfumer and artist Manuel Mathieu.

These are absolutely beautiful. I still need time to sit with them. They have a vintage nod to them while still feeling modern.

They are not gimiki or trying to hard to be extra.

They are beautifully blended and balanced perfume. Understated and elegant.

There is something very classic and timeless about them.

Definitely worth trying the 3 samples! And my perfume budget is GULP. But I may pick one after a little more time with them.

Tropical fruit isn't necessarily perfume I gravitate towards a lot, but I like an occasional fruity smell.

The Win - Tropical by Arquiste with a bright fresh Guava and citrus opening. The middle is floral and sweet. With a more subtle woodsy and slightly powdery dry down. It's nice, it's easy to wear, not too sweet or artificial.

The flop - Some Chris Collins perfumes I LOVE. However I hate many of his more fruity florals. With the exception of Forbidden Apple, which is why I tried this. Sunset in Tamarindo is pretty bad in a very department store kind of way. It isn't terrible really it is just a generic overly cloying fruity perfume. Maybe it just doesn't agree with me IDK but definitely in my discard pile.

Neither of these are my favorite tropical fruit perfumes. But the 30ml bottles by Arquiste is just so adorable 🥰 this is perfect for a weekend get away at the beach.

Thoughts?

This is one of the best sample sets I have smelled in a long time.

My favorite are Jasmine Smoke and Fourteen Carrots.

Beekeeper is nice but I don't really like Tobacco scents. Although this is a nice honey tobacco.

I have Dirty Hinoki.

This is a great set for people that love fresh/botanical type scents . But very unisex.

The only real floral is Jasmine Smoke.

Rhubarb Thief is good but I have other rhubarb scents I like more.

I recommend this set.
