Fleas out of control! 😭
I've had my Maine Coon/Shorthair mixes for 8 years now, and it wasn't until last year that we started having issues with fleas. I put topical Advantage+ flea and tick medication on them every month, and I regularly brush and comb their hair. However, Thor's hair and skin are especially bad. He is super itchy, frequently licking and biting his back, and there are large areas of hair that have become very coarse. Within the past few days he has locked so much that he now has two very thin patches of hair on his back, and I'm afraid he's going to lick the hair clean off. If the fleas didn't jump off of them and onto me and bite *me* as much as they do, I'd think he was starting to have issues with mange. 🙃
I'm at a total loss. I don't know what to do. It's clear my boys are super uncomfortable, and I just want to make them feel better. If anyone can give me any advice, I would really appreciate it!!
